The  story of Dwesa - a  paradise where the beaches write their own story - was published in Vol 14, No 8. There is a part of South Africa where animals still move freely along the coast and use beaches as highways. I went to Dwesa Nature Reserve on the Wild Coast with the World Wide Fund for Nature's marine programme and found that it might be small, but there's a lot to it: 300 bird species on record, abundant mammals, a diverse rocky shore fauna, and diverse flora, not to mention the unusual ocean backdrop to wildlife-viewing.
